The VERTI-GO consortium reviewed first-year progress at its General Assembly in Ireland
Earlier this week, the VERTI-GO consortium gathered in the windy city of Cork, Ireland, for a productive two-day General Assembly Meeting. Marking one year into the VERTI-GO project, it was great to see both the technical progress achieved so far and the enthusiasm across the consortium for the work ahead.
Reviewed progress and next steps across the project
During the General Assembly Meeting, the consortium reviewed progress and next steps across the project, with particular attention to demonstrator design and performance simulation, supply, manufacturability and commissioning assessments, and feasibility studies to define end-user requirements. Moreover, the consortium reviewed communication, dissemination, exploitation and environmental assessment & monitoring activities to support the project’s overall objectives, and discussed the next priorities. During the meeting, coordinators at University College Cork and SeaTwirl AB also held workshops on consortium priorities and expectations, and on risk management to align on potential risks and mitigation actions. Lastly, partners enjoyed a guided tour of the the LIR Ocean Test Facility, coordinated by the Sustainability Institute at University College Cork, gaining insights into its research and testing facility.
